Dell Technologies has sponsored and supported Sagarmatha Next and the ‘carry me back’ program from its inception, by donating electronic equipment and sponsoring the first seasons of ‘carry me back’. ​
The Bally Peak Outlook Foundation/BPOF is on a mission to safeguard the world’s fragile mountain habitats from the adverse effects of excessive tourism and climate change. They have removed over 7.6 tons of waste from the slopes of Mt. Everest and other 8,000 m. peaks and remains committed to annual clean ups of Everest Base Camp.​
BPOF believes in empowering local communities to implement sustainable change via various initiatives including the ‘carry me back’ program. With the support of BPOF, we could expand the operations and impact by adding a second pick up station in Pangboche (3.958m) from 2024.
Born as an old-world apothecary in New York City’s East Village, they sponsored the ’88 Expedition as climbers scaled Mount Everest – the first ascent of the mountain’s east face without supplemental oxygen.
In 2023 Kiehl’s returns to Everest to support ‘carry me back’ initiative to support the removal of waste for proper recycling. They are sponsoring the operations for six seasons, as well as the installation ‘Hand of Everest’ made at Sagarmatha Next by the climate activist Ben Von Wong, to raise awareness of the challenge of waste and encourage participation in the program.
